Three years ago, I took a leap and started Perfect Landing, a recruiting firm built around one simple idea: do things differently.

After years in the industry, I kept hearing the same thing from hiring managers. They wanted the depth and precision of a retained search firm, but with the collaboration and recruiting infrastructure an in-house recruiter does so well. Someone who could hire for all teams, knock it out of the park every time, and truly feel like “one of them,” a part of their company.

In short, clients were looking for:

  • The precision and headhunting expertise of a retained search firm for better hires

  • A recruiter who can hire across all departments and industries, not just one niche

  • Someone who can build or refine a recruiting process from the inside out

  • True partnership and transparency

  • Flexibility in pricing and engagement

They wanted a partner they could rely on so they wouldn’t have to start from scratch with a new recruiter at the start of every new search; someone who knew their culture and just got it. Blending the best things about an internal recruiter and a headhunting expert that offers flexibility when hiring slows down, without worrying about layoffs.

That’s exactly what I set out to create.

Based in Denver, Perfect Landing is a certified Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB/EDWOSB) and a Colorado-verified diverse business recruiting nationwide. We help small to mid-sized companies hire mid-career and senior leadership talent across all departments: technology, finance, marketing, operations, HR, sales, and legal.

I jumped into recruiting in 2008, right at the beginning of the Great Recession, when few companies were hiring and the job market felt like musical chairs with too few chairs. You couldn’t be successful back then just filling roles. It wasn’t about that.

It took empathy, creativity, and finding solutions when the odds were stacked against you. I quickly learned that listening deeply, building genuine relationships, and caring enough to solve problems made all the difference.

Since then, I’ve worn both agency and in-house hats, recruited internationally while based in Australia, and led global searches across South America, Central America, and Europe. That mix of corporate and agency experience gave me a unique perspective on how to build recruitment strategies that actually align with a company’s goals and culture.

For more than 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of recruiting for companies across Colorado and nationwide, partnering with teams at pivotal moments and helping them grow.

And honestly? That’s still my favorite part of the job. Being the matchmaker who helps both sides land in the right place at the right time. The perfect landing - for both- is what brings me joy.
